Using a standard assessment system and defined maturity levels, the site-specific assessment is completed and includes inputs and involvement from maintenance, operations and selected site employees. The AMIS Assessment can be used for both inter- and intra-site comparisons for all industry sectors.
The AMIS Assessment is recognised as the industry standard and provides the largest database of benchmarks and Key Performance Ratios of efficiency and effectiveness, worldwide.
The deliverables of The AMIS Assessment are:
Any improvement programme needs to define the goal and expected value to be delivered. The AMIS Assessment will establish the opportunities for improvement and the associated benefits expected.
Feedback sessions and strategy workshops are facilitated to agree the next steps to develop an ongoing improvement plan which includes the benefits, timescales and the required resources.
Additional assessment tools can be used within the development stage these include:
* Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
The AMIS Assessment identifies the gaps against best practice which in turn supports the implementation planning stage of The AMIS Journey.

Over the years we have accumulated numerous case studies across a diverse range of industry sectors. Our Memorable AMIS Journeys demonstrate the impact we have made to the challenges our customers face and how we have provided practical, pragmatic and powerful solutions to address those challenges.
An MCP client in the aerospace industry increased output by 20% and achieved improvements in equipment efficiency from 78% to 90%. The programme, involving just one piece of equipment and training for 12 people, achieved real savings of £100,000 a year.
MCP helped a paper mill to increase its 70% efficiency to an 85% rating – World-Class performance. MCP identified the need for continuous improvement workshops to include shift coordinators, team leaders and day support staff. Staff were trained to implement changes aimed at solving inconsistent performance and breakdown problems.
A ‘cost of non-conformance’ exercise for a company in the chemical sector identified the potential benefits of more than £7 million – this came from a reduction in downtime of 10%. A project plan for phased improvements involving a range of tools, techniques and training programmes delivered this huge saving.
A US global manufacturer was suffering from poor output. Loss of skills, inadequate reporting methods – with breakdowns under 15 minutes not being recorded – and slow shift changes contributed to the loss in output. As a result of MCP’s problem-solving approach, production efficiency immediately increased to 81%. This was supported by a programme of training which lead to further significant improvements.
Following The AMIS Assessment which revealed production inefficiencies, a major US food processing company improved its production efficiency through a range of planned projects and supported training programmes. These improvements were valued at an impressive $50,000 per day.
MCP provided the tools and techniques to enable our engineering teams to deliver cost savings and efficiencies without increasing staff numbers, whilst continuing not only to grow the asset base in size but also increase the quality of its performance and in particular, reliability.Dubai Airports
Highly Rated. MCP have a good practical understanding of the challenges facing organisations on change journeys, and work with them to find solutions and flexible approaches that support the change agenda.Glanbia Plc
I like the engineering knowledge MCP consultants have compared to some other organisations that have expertise in the process not the background knowledge. I will certainly use MCP’s services again.Jaguar Land Rover
MCP are very professional. Pleasure to do the business with. Friendly, approachable and knowledgeable staff. I was able to speak to the staff every time there is a need for it. Have already spoken to the team to provide dates for the next course that will be organised on site.Pladis Global
In my opinion MCP’s service was excellent. I have not used anyone other than MCP but would struggle to envisage how anyone could deliver any better service. I have found MCP to be very approachable and were flexible on arrangements for my last assessment.William Grant & Sons Ltd
I am involved in a capacity and delivery review in the mill with the intention of increasing daily tonnage. AMIS got great credit over the past few months as it was credited with the consistent output from the mill over the Spring and Summer fodder shortage.DairyGold
